Prof. Suryakanta Nayak is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the School of Commerce, Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) Hyderabad, India. He has pursued the Master of Commerce (Finance Specialization) from the Post Graduate Department of Commerce, Utkal University. Professor Nayak has qualified UGC National Eligibility Test (NET)-Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Commerce. He has recently submitted his Ph.D. thesis to the School of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Management, Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar. He has used software like Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), EViews, and Stata to analyze the data in his doctoral research.

Research and Publications: Professor Nayak’s research focuses on International Finance, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), and the Indian Economy. He has authored several research papers in reputed peer-reviewed journals indexed in the Scopus and ranked by the ABDC. He has co-authored a chapter in an edited book published by Asian Development Bank Institute, Tokyo, Japan. Professor Nayak has also presented research papers in reputed conferences like the Conference on Excellence in Research and Education organized by the Indian Institute of Management Indore and the biennial conference of the Association of Indian Economic and Financial Studies. Professor Nayak has reviewed several research papers for reputed international journals.
